One of the key micronutrients found in soil, manganese is an enzyme catalyst, and plays a role in the assimilation of carbon dioxide and plant nutrition. It is also important to the development of chloroplast where sunlight energy is converted to chemical energy. Manganese deficiencies are more likely in low-organic-matter soils. It is more likely to be deficient in low organic matter soils — manganese is not readily available above a soil pH of 6.5. MP Manganese can be applied alone or with liquid fertilizer for soil applications.
